Allende Still a Star

We have been very fortunate the last few years to see some very beautiful meteorites appear on the scene. But, when it comes to a meteorite that is just plain fun to look at under a microscope I have to say that Allende is still high on my list. I am not going to write a lot this month about the fall or the stories of collecting specimens. I think I will relax myself and just enjoy gazing at a great slice of meteorite.

This is a 49.39 gram slice of this famous CV3. It has CIAs a lot of great chondrules of course. And it has a few fibers from the Riker box that made it into the photograph. Please excuse those.
