Another Georgia Tektite

Size does not always matter.

This month's tektite is one from the first Darryl Futrell collection and is in fact  numbered FG1. It was also the smallest of the Georgia tektites in that collection. But, even at 1.2852 grams it is a beauty. It is very transparent with the characteristic green color.

A Georgia tektite of any size will always be a prized member of a collection. They remain rare specimens, only exceeded in scarcity by Ivory Coast tektites.
