The above picture shows a 65g
end section sitting on a microscope viewing stage. The slightly
darker oval on the slice is oil from an oil immersion microscope
objective that Phillips used to photograph a feature in the
meteorite.

The lower picture is a
tiny region within the dark spot magnified 1600X. The green
band is likely a shocked region that is known to contain the
high pressure mineral Ringwoodite.
