Fragments of Peace River were found in the area indicated by the path of the fireball on April 24, 1963 after the snows had melted. The meteorite has a nice scattering of good size metal grains. It is shocked and contains wadsleyite. Being a fall which was found in only a month it has; as can be seen in the photograph a gray matrix with only spotty brown weathering.
