Dear Editor,

Enjoyed the second issue, I can't believe it's free!!!!!!! The articles on Gold Basin were excellent, I haven't found much recent information on this area. It would be interesting to have another article describing the size and shape of the strewn field as well as some information on the locations of finds in relation to the surface.

Also the effects of weathering, caliche coating and desert varnish. I have found 3 stones in this area within 300 meters of each other and they all look different. One was buried and is the typical brown color, one was on the surface and is brown and black with what appears to be desert varnish on it and one was half buried and is mostly black all over, possibly this is from a different fall?

How about adding a Q & A column in the future?

    Thanks,
    Stan Szalkowski

Thanks for the kind words. Please check out the Meteorites 101 article that Ron Hartman is offering. We are excited about this column and foresee it  being a great educational resource.

Hi Paul and Jim,

Just to let you know I have enjoyed reading your Meteorite Times. I learned things from the May issue about Gold Basin that I hadn't even heard about. It has made me start looking for the possible missing link that will prove that the Gold Basin asteroid contained the L4, L5, and L6.

Thanks again for your on line magazine.

Jim and Paul:

Thanks for creating Meteorite-Times. It has been a great communication tool for us Meteoritophiles. I look forward to future issues, etc.

If Nininger was still alive, he would give you a big "Thumbs-up."

Please remember when sending a Letter to the Editor to write a short statement in the Subject line of the message. I am sorry but, I don't open mail with a blank subject from senders whom I do not know personally.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to hearing from many of you.
